| Hunting Montana Hunting and Fishing Adventures is a family owned and operated business, offering full service archery and rifle hunts. We operate in the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness Area and on over one million acres of the Bitterroot National Forest. With a lifetime of hunting experience in this area to help in your pursuit of a trophy. We are licensed by the Montana Board of Outfitters and hold a U. S. Forest Service special use permit under the direction of the Bitterroot National Forest. |
| Guided hunts On our guided hunts we are hunting, elk, deer, and bear. The hunting units we operate in are 240, 250, 260, 261 and 270. All hunts are seven (7) days. Lodge hunts are based out of Hamilton, Montana in the beautiful Bitterroot Valley. Spike camps are in the Bear Creek drainage of the Selway-Bitterroot Wilderness. We furnish your lodging, meals and experienced guides. You furnish your transportation here and back, hunting license, personal gear, taxidermy and meat processing. Hunting is done using 4-wheel drive vehicles,horse and on foot depending on hunting conditions and game location. Our guides are experienced woodsman and work hard to see that you have a safe, enjoyable and successful hunt. Fall hunts are available September,October,and November. Spring bear hunts are available April 15th through May. |
Elk and Deer Archery Hunts Our archery hunts are run early September through mid October during the elk rutting season. Hunting techniques used are spot and stalk, still hunting, and bugling in bulls. Transportation to hunting area's are 4-wheel drive or horses, but most of the hunting will be done on foot. You need to be proficient with your weapon and be in as good physical condition as possible, as it will improve your chances of taking your trophy, and making your hunt more enjoyable. Archery hunts are seven (7) days. We offer 1 on 1 hunts (you have your own personal guide) or 2 on 1 hunts (2 hunters share a guide). Your guaranteed hunting license must be obtained through your outfitter by march 15th. |
Elk and Deer Rifle Hunts Our rifle hunts are run late October through the end of November. This season allows us to hunt high county early and winter range the latter part of the season, when game is concentrated at lower elevations. Hunting techniques used are spot and stalk, and still hunting. Transportation to hunting areas are 4-wheel drive vehicles or horses but most of the hunting will be on foot. You need to be proficient with your weapon and in as good physical condition as possible to improve your chances of taking a trophy. Rifle hunts are 7 days. We offer both 1 on 1(you have your own personal guide) or 2 on 1 (2 hunters share a guide). Your guaranteed hunting license must be obtained through your outfitter by March 15th. |
Spring Bear Archery and Rifle Spring bear hunts are run April 15th through May. These hunts are fair chase, spot and stalk and are (7) days. Transportation to hunting areas are 4-wheel drive vehicles or horses, but most of the hunting will be on foot. License must be obtained by April 15th. |

Montana license information Montana big game licenses are guaranteed when purchased with outfitter sponsorship and submitted by March 15th. The combination elk deer license is $1,500 and requires outfitter certification of trip. Non-resident black bear is $350 and must be applied for by April 14th for the spring season.
